Hi,

I am using Likebutton to share articles on Facebook but it does not pick up image when sharing.

Can you tell me why and help me to solve my issue?

In fact, some services, most notably Facebook and LinkedIn, do not use passed parameters. Rather, they use meta tags in the <head> section to determine the title, description and image to share: https://likebtn.com/en/faq#sharing
In such a situation you should install plagin for Joomla which adds open graph tags to your website's pages. For example: http://extensions.joomla.org/extension/easy-open-graph
