    Checking prior to install and purchase

    Hi,

    Please let me know about the following:

    Any issues using LikeBtn with VB 3.8.x?

    Any issues using LikeBtn on a totally private forum (only logged in members can see the forum)?

    Any security/privacy issues using LikeBtn?

    Will using LikeBtn slow down forum?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    1) http://likebtn.com/en/vbulletin-like-button
    2) Likebtn for anonimous voting only. But you can program your forum for showing buttons code for logged-in users only.
    3) Likebtn provide HTTPs support. Loading buttons using HTTPS available in ULTRA plan.
    4) No, Like Button is loaded asynchronously and does not slow down your website.

    Thanks,

    I'm giving this a go but have hit a problem almost immediately.

    When I click one of your buttons, to 'Like' one post in a thread, my 'Like' is added to all other posts in the thread.

    What have I missed or done wrong?

    It's an unique string or number (for example you can use id of liked item or post).
    You must to insert it into button code (data-identifier parameter).
    If you use some special site system, try to ask your developers how to generate it dynamically.

    data-group-identifier parameter not needed.
    Try to remove button code and follow video instruction:
    http://likebtn.com/en/vbulletin-like-button
    You don't need to write code manually.
    Button generator will generate correct code for you.
    You just must to insert this code into vBulletin post template.

    Please refer to Post #3 above.
    At that point I had inserted the button code, as per instructions in video, but when I clicked one of your buttons, to 'Like' one post in a thread, my 'Like' was added to all other posts in the thread.
    I had left data-group-identifier parameter field blank when I generated the code.

    In other words, the code below (the first code I tried), results in buttons that when clicked add a like to all buttons.

    Code:
    <!-- LikeBtn.com BEGIN -->
    <span class="likebtn-wrapper" data-identifier="post_{vb:raw post.postid}" data-white_label="true" data-show_dislike_label="true" data-popup_dislike="true" data-share_enabled="false" data-site_id="5550f6d69b1d1b6e54bdad0f"></span>
    <script>(function(d,e,s){if(d.getElementById("likebtn_wjs"))return;a=d.createElement(e);m=d.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];a.async=1;a.id="likebtn_wjs";a.src=s;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a, m)})(document,"script","//w.likebtn.com/js/w/widget.js");</script>
    <!-- LikeBtn.com END -->

    Copied directly from Postbit template.

    When I click one of your buttons, to 'Like' one post in a thread, my 'Like' is added to all other posts in the thread. In fact, clicking on any Like button adds a like to every single post on the entire forum.

    Code:
    <if condition="$show['moderatedattachment']">
                    <fieldset class="fieldset">
                        <legend>$vbphrase[attachments_pending_approval]</legend>
                        <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="$stylevar[formspacer]" border="0">
                        $post[moderatedattachments]
                        </table>
                    </fieldset>
                </if>

                </div>
            <!-- / attachments -->
            </if>

    <br/>
    <!-- LikeBtn.com BEGIN -->
    <span class="likebtn-wrapper" data-identifier="post_{vb:raw post.postid}" data-white_label="true" data-show_dislike_label="true" data-popup_dislike="true" data-share_enabled="false" data-site_id="5550f6d69b1d1b6e54bdad0f"></span>
    <script>(function(d,e,s){if(d.getElementById("likebtn_wjs"))return;a=d.createElement(e);m=d.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];a.async=1;a.id="likebtn_wjs";a.src=s;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a, m)})(document,"script","//w.likebtn.com/js/w/widget.js");</script>
    <!-- LikeBtn.com END -->

            $template_hook[postbit_signature_start]
            $ad_location[ad_showthread_firstpost_sig]

            <if condition="$post['signature']">
            <!-- sig -->
                <div>
                    __________________<br />
                    $post[signature]
                </div>
            <!-- / sig -->
            </if>
